Seed sprouters (or germinators) are devices used to grow sprouts.  The glass germinator is the most common and the simplest germination device and is a good choice especially for sprouting seeds such as mung beans,  alfalfa and seed mixtures. The jar guarantees quick handling of seeds that need no fixed sprouting bottom and the rinse process is easy!  You can grow most sprouts in the glass jar. This is ideal for the single person or small family.

Use your shoots and sprouts on toast or sandwiches and wraps; toss them into crunchy salads; fry them gently in olive oil when preparing tasty casseroles, pancakes; or add them on top of soups, dips, muesli, pasta, rice, vegetables, etc.

In the box:

  • The small glass germinator (Size: 9cm x 14 cm, holds 650mL) consists of a glass jar with a high quality lid with drainage holes
  • Instruction Booklet and HERE for sprouting guide

Sprouting:

Using the glass germinator is simple – place the seeds in the glass jar, add water, replace the lid and invert the jar so that water drains out again. Do this 2 or 3 times a day. Soak –>Sprout –> Harvest!

The glass germinator is not suited for cress and arugula (rucola) because these seeds are mucus-forming seeds.  Broccoli seeds are also too small for this germinator

Rapunzel is one of the leading organic food producers in Europe. It all started very small: In 1974, Joseph Wilhelm and Jennifer Vermeulen started a self-sufficiency commune on a farm with a small natural health food store in the city of Augsburg in Bavaria.  From these humble beginnings to an international company developed during the last 45 years. The idea behind it all remained the same throughout this time: to manufacture certified organic, natural and untreated, vegetarian foods.
