Growing sprouts is the easiest way to get important vitamins, minerals, trace elements, secondary phytochemicals and dietary fibers. Broccoli rapini sprouts taste mild spicy. Broccoli sprouts contain a naturally-occurring compound called sulforaphane glucosinolate, which has, according to research an antioxidant action which is helpful in maintaining a healthy circulatory system. Also contain vitamins: A, B, C, D, E, and K, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate, potassium, zinc, carotene and chlorophyll (1oz contains as much antioxidants as 3lb of whole broccoli!)
Ideal topping for salads, crackers, toast, in smoothies, summer rolls and dips.
How to use Broccoli seeds for sprouting
Before sowing, rinse thoroughly in fresh water.
Amount per tray: 1 tablespoons of seeds (Not suitable for use with Glass Germinator)
Temperature: 18 – 22oC
Water: Twice daily
Ready to eat: After approximately 4 to 6 days
Ingredients: Sprouting Broccoli seeds (Brassica rapa var. cymosa, Raab).
